If you read my email last Sunday (Happy New Year 2021), you know I am studying A Course in Miracles. That email created a question from a subscriber. She had been told by other people that she is very empathetic, and she wondered what that means exactly?
At about the same time, there appeared in my in-box an offering from Dr. Judi Orloff. Dr. Judith Orloff’s Keys to Being a Healthy Empath: Practices for Protection, Surrender & Listening to Your Intuition During Stressful Times, which I am sharing with her and you, as well. Dr. Orloff has written many books about being an empath over the many years of my spiritual evolution and is offering a course.
Why am I calling this event a Miracle?
Miracles are happening all the time. We just don't notice them, or perhaps we call them coincidences or luck, even voodoo, wuwu or black magic. When we no longer see the world from the point of view of the ego, which is a crazy place (just take a moment to objectively observe the events of January 6th, and you know I am on to something), we become open to knowing the world wholly from the realm of Spirit.
The Toltecs call this egoic malady, the parasite in the mind, which we heal through the process of shifting knowledge to wisdom through the Masteries of Awareness, Transformation and Intent. Thus, from this point of view, this shift in perspective is the Miracle creating a life of personal freedom and sustained happiness.
This will make more sense when I share my back story.
Since I became aware of Covid -19 in February 2020, I have sheltered at home reacquainting myself with myself. In this third act of my life, I have focused on exploring myself, seeking what is mine to share. As a recovering perfectionist, I did not see myself as good enough to share life long education until recently when in meditation I heard the words... "You are a work in progress, just like everyone else. Get out of your ego. Stop being so arrogant!"
Last weekend, I listed many of the changes I have made since Covid-19. When excitement ensued through intuitive knowing of the next step in the Miracle, I created Sunday's message to my email list. I would share what I was learning.
That was the miracle.
I had experienced a change of perception -- the wisdom to let go of the ego controlled by self judgment and share with others -- triggering a chain reaction for creating a new future not only for me, but for people whose lives I touch.
All the spiritual, physical, and intellectual practices from New Age to Indigenous that I have lived and studied are containers for the same wisdom. When we surrender the ego, no matter what the form of our conditioning, we have the opportunity to recreate our lives from the inside out -- from love. Beginning with ourselves and continuing with our brothers and sisters. Then the miracle of the eternal happiness of humanity will prevail.
No matter what road to enlightenment we are drawn to, there is only one Intent.
Oneness and the unity of All Life.
The Miracle is that is all there is, and it is always in action.
